How to Make a Free Digital Wedding Invitation
A digital wedding invitation (an e-invite, or kad kahwin digital) is one page with everything guests need: the couple’s names, the date, the programme, a Waze button to the hall and an RSVP button. You share one link on WhatsApp, guests tap it, and it’s all there. With December’s wedding season close (the year-end school holidays start on 4 and 5 December 2026), now is the time to send invitations.
What to put in a digital wedding invitation
- The couple’s names, and the parents’ names if the family is hosting.
- Day, date and time, such as Saturday, 12 December 2026, 11.00am to 4.00pm.
- The venue, with Waze and Google Maps buttons that take guests straight to the hall or the house.
- The programme: guests arrive, the couple arrives, the meal, and the end.
- RSVP, with a deadline so you can confirm numbers with the caterer.
- Photos of the couple or the pre-wedding shoot, and a short prayer or message.
- A number to call, usually a family representative, for guests with questions.
- Optional: a dress code or colour theme, and gift details.
How to make a digital wedding invitation with Singgah
Open the editor and pick a theme
Open singgah.page/try; no sign-up needed to start. Tap Theme and pick a look that suits your wedding: soft and classic, or modern and simple.
Fill in the couple’s profile
In the Header block, add a photo of the couple, the names, like “Nabil & Alisha”, and one short line: “Walimatulurus · Saturday, 12 December 2026 · Dewan Serbaguna, Putrajaya”.
Add location buttons
Tap Add block, pick Link, and make a “Waze to the hall” button with the 📍 emoji. Add another for Google Maps. See how to make a Waze and Google Maps link so guests arrive at the right spot.
Add an RSVP button
Use a WhatsApp block with a ready-written WhatsApp message, or a Link block to a Google Form. The next section compares the two.
Write the programme
Add a Heading block called “Programme” (type an emoji like 🕰️ if you like), then a Text block. Put times in bold with two asterisks, such as
**11.00am** Guests arrive.Add photos
A Carousel block holds up to 10 photos that guests swipe through, ideal for the pre-wedding shoot.
Publish and share
Tap Publish, sign up for a free account, then tap Publish now. The name in your header becomes the page’s address, like singgah.page/nabilalisha; change it in the Page link field if you like. Use Share on WhatsApp to send the link, or print the page’s QR code on printed cards.
RSVP: WhatsApp or Google Form?
- WhatsApp is easiest for guests, especially older relatives. A ready-written message makes sure you get the name, the number of guests and the answer in one go. The catch: you count them yourself.
- A Google Form collects answers in a spreadsheet automatically, good for big weddings with hundreds of guests. The catch: some guests won’t bother with a form.
An RSVP message for the WhatsApp button:
Hi! I’d like to RSVP for Nabil & Alisha’s wedding. Name: Number of guests: Attending / not attending:
Whichever you choose, give an RSVP deadline, usually two to three weeks before the day, because caterers often need final numbers early.
Wedding invitation wording examples
Invitations can be formal or casual, depending on who’s inviting. Copy one and change it to suit:
Together with their families, Mr Ahmad bin Ismail & Mrs Rosnah binti Hamid request the pleasure of your company at the marriage of their son Nabil to Alisha
We’re getting married! 💍 We’d love you to celebrate our big day with us. It wouldn’t be the same without you.
Many Malay weddings use the traditional Bahasa Melayu wording (“Dengan segala hormatnya…”). The Bahasa Melayu version of this guide has an example.
Privacy, and tips for guests
- The page is public. Anyone with the link can open it, and published pages can appear in Google search. Leave out anything you wouldn’t want strangers to see, such as a bank account number or a full home address you don’t need.
- Send it early. Share the invitation four to six weeks before the day, earlier for December, when many people plan trips home.
- Remind guests. Post the same link on your WhatsApp Status a week before. Guests who forget can tap straight through to Waze.
- Change it when you need to. Time or venue changed? Update it in the editor and publish again. The link you already shared stays the same and shows the latest details.
- After the wedding, keep the page as a memento, or tap Unpublish so it can’t be opened any more.
Questions
Is the digital wedding invitation free?
Yes. Singgah’s free plan gives you one page at your own singgah.page address, with Waze and WhatsApp buttons, photos and the programme. A small “Made with Singgah” link sits at the bottom.
Do guests need an app?
No. The page opens straight in the phone’s browser. Guests just tap the link you send on WhatsApp.
Can I change the details after sending it?
Yes. Edit it and publish again. The same link keeps showing the latest details, so there’s no new link to send.
Can I add music or a video?
Background music isn’t supported yet. You can add a YouTube or TikTok video, like a pre-wedding clip, with a Video block.
Can I use it for other events?
Yes. The same layout works for engagements, aqiqah, kesyukuran, birthdays and open houses.
